PRODUCT : FEVICOL SR 505 DESCRIPTION: FEVICOL SR 505 is a synthetic rubber based solvent containing contact adhesive for Multipurpose applications. It exhibits immediate bond strength and has good resistance to water and aging. This adhesive can be applied by brush, applicator/finger. APPLICATION AREA: FEVICOL SR 505 is used to bond PVC to Mosaic /concrete substrate in Flooring segment. Used to bond variety of substrates like U-Foam/Rubber Foam to U-Foam, Rexine to Foam, Wood/Plywood to U-Foam, Coir to U-Foam etc. in Upholstery segment. Also used in various handicraft applications & for Bus body tops & seat cover pasting & in Veneer Industry. TYPICAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: APPEARANCE : Light yellowish liquid VISCOSITY @ 30 0C : 12-16 Poise by brookfield viscometer rvt/spindle #3/20 rpm SP.Gravity : 0.820 – 0.860 gm/ml Flash point : 0 0 c to 4 0 c Drying time (on G.P by 2 thaw applicator at 30+ 2 o c) : 15-35 secs approx.(varies as per climatic conditions) Packaging : 25lits. Drum, 5lits, 1lits & 500ml tin.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS : • Surface to be bonded should be clean, dry and free from oil/grease stains. • Stir the adhesive before application. • Apply FEVICOL SR 505 on both the surfaces. Non-porous surfaces to be applied first & then the porous surfaces. • Once the adhesive becomes dry, press both the surfaces together, ensuring uniform contact. • Final bond is achieved in 24hrs. SA FETY PRECAUTIONS : Keep the adhesive container closed when not in use. The adhesive is highly flammable hence smoking and naked-flame must be avoided in the working area. Store the adhesive in a cool (<25 0C ) area . Proper ventilation must be provided on the shop-floor. SHELF LIFE : At least one year from the date of manufacture in sealed condition if stored under recommended storage conditions. DILUENT / CLEANER : Toluene may be used to clean the tools used for the application. N OTE : A detailed MSDS is available on request.
