Anabond 666T Max gasket sealant is a single component, non-slumping, low odour, low volatile silicone adhesive/sealant. It is designed to provide reliable “formed-in-place” gaskets for mechanical assemblies where high temperatures are experienced. The material cures on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. The product resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking. It has good adhesion to substrates like aluminium, mild steel, glass, ceramics, corks and many plastics. This is a universal gasket maker and it meets every sealing need in automobile engine, timing covers, oil sump applications, valve covers, rocker covers, water pumps, end seals, intake manifolds and rear axle housings. Also used as a sealant and adhesive for assembly and repair of industrial furnaces, ovens, boilers, exhaust stacks, high temperature ducting, bonding of sensitive electronic components and sub assemblies.

Curing performance The product cures on exposure to moisture in the air, typically developing a skin within minutes, becoming tack
free within minutes to hours. After skin formation, cure continues inward from the surface. Optimum physical properties are reached after curing for 7 days at 30±2°C, 55±5% RH. The rate of surface/depth cure depends on the relative humidity and temperature of the environment, thickness of the adhesive and the area under the joint. Curing time is extended at lower humidity levels. Curing tested at 30 ± 20C, 55 ± 5% RH

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Anabond 230 is a synthetic resin based adhesive, designed specially for bonding friction lining material in Brake Shoes and Clutch. Anabond 230 has exceptionally high strength to Whstand very high shearload sprevalent between liner and brake shoes/clutchplates. The strength is retained at very high temperatures, so that the lining is bonded firmly evenunder      severe working conditions. The toughness and reliability of Anabond 230 and its versatility inusagee liminates the need      for mechanical fasteners to fix frictionlining material. This results in easing out design problems and cutting MFG costs. The friction lining could be used for the fullest thickness. Bonding of friction linings instead of fastening eliminates scouring of the drum created by rivet heads, used for fastening the liner. The load is uniformly distributed through out the         bonded area instead of stress concentration at riveted joints. This load distribution means eliminating failure during working condition.HOW TO USE The most essential step in preparation of metal components i store move traces of greaseor Oil   Industrial solvents like trichloroethylene or acetone will be adequate. Detergents/petrol are not recommended, since they deposit a film of oil on the surface, resulting to drop in bond       strength of the adhesive. After degreasing, the shoes should be grit blasted or abraded to matt finish. Shoes should be degreasedagaintoremovelooseparticles. Theliningmaterial         should be thoroughly abraded with a wire brush and printing marks should be removed completely to offer clean bonding surface.    HOW TO APPLY AND CURE    1.  Coat the adhesive evenly on the entire shoe and liner.  2. Allow the coated shoes and liners toairdryfor3hoursatRoomTemperatureorovendry        at 70°C for 3545 minutes.  3. Clamp the coated liner and shoes with suitable fixtures.  4.  Heat the clamped brake shoes at 190°C ± 5°C for 60 minutes.  PROPERTIES     1  Colour   Brown to Red 2  Viscosity     Cps (sp.3 , rpm  100) at 30°C  550 750 3  Specific gravity    0.95 ± 0.05    4  Dry time(at 70 ± 2°C)  Minutes  30 – 45    5  Curing cycle( at 190± 2°C)  Minutes  60    6  Axial Shear strength   ( MS Shoes – Hard lining)        6.1   At Room temperature  kg/cm??? 2  (80 % adhesion)  Min 30     6.2   At 200 ± 4°C, 30 min.  kg/cm 2  (50 % adhesion)  Min 16    6.3   After ageing at 300± 5°C, 1 hr.  kg/cm 2  (Not applicable)  Min 26     SHELF LIFE   Six months from the month of manufacture, if stored below 25°C   HANDLING     STORAGE :   Anabond 230 contains highly inflammable solvents. Why Instant Adhesives?
Instant adhesives cure very quickly when confined between surfaces. Surface humidity on the substrates triggers the cure reaction which moves from the substrate surfaces towards the middle of the adhesive joint. Instant Adhesives are chosen for bonding small parts to achieve extremely fast fixturing. Due to their limited gap filling capacity they require close fitting surfaces. The adhesion to most substrates is excellent and the bonding strength in shear and tensile mode is very good.
Advantages of CYNO S2 Instant Adhesives:

Clean and easy to apply

Very fast positioning and fixturing of parts

Free of solvents

Excellent adhesion on a wide range of substrates, Special formulations are available for bonding metals or porous substrates.

High strength on very small bond faces

Wide section of available iscosities, from wicking-grade to large gap-filling materials.
