Aerol??? Galvasil Spray, Grades 3070 & 3060Aerol® Galvasil Spray is a Zinc rich, cold galvanizing coating that provides corrosion protection to ferrous metal surfaces. It exhibits long term corrosion protection comparable to hot-dip galvanization and also due to sacrificial anodization. It is also used as a touch up spray for galvanized surfaces damaged due to cutting, drilling and welding.Key performance properties• Meets requirements of MIL & ASTM standards.• Zinc purity >97%• Quick dry- Dry to touch in less than 20 minutes.• Excellent protection against corrosion.• Outstanding weather resistance.• Available is Regular (Grade 3070) & Bright (Grade 3060) shadesApplicationUsed on damaged galvanized surfaces, steel structures, cable trays, GI gratings, GI steel pipes and tubes, telecommunication towers, automobile underbodies and parts, Off shore steel structures, Power plant and sub-station equipment etcTypical PropertiesParameterGalvasil 3060Galvasil 3070Appearance of Dried FilmBright SilverDark GreyTack free time, min (@ 25°C/50% RH approx.)< 20< 20Drying time, to handle, min(@ 25°C/50% RH approx.)< 60< 60Drying time, to recoat, hours11Full Cure time, hours (@ 25°C/50% RH approx.)2424Coating thickness, double coat, microns, average> 40> 40Salt Spray Corrosion (ASTM B117), 1000 hoursPassPassSpray Rate, g/min, 53±3°C80-12080-120Filled can Pressure, psig, 53±3°C60-9060-90Net Contents350g / 493 ml350g / 493 ml
Method of useEnsure substrate is free from loose rust, scale, grease, oil, water/ moisture and dirt. Shake can well till you hear the agitator ball moving freely inside the can. DO NOT SPRAY WITHOUT SHAKING THE CAN as the dense zinc powder may clog the valve. Apply directly to metal or galvanize substrate. Apply from a suitable distance in light sweeping strokes. Before setting aside the can to rest for short or long intervals, invert the can and spray a few short bursts to keep the valve clear and free from clogging.Precautions during storage and useStore in a cool and dry place, below 50°C. The Cans should be used with in twelve months from date of manufacture. The contents are highly flammable and these cans should be kept away from sources of heat and ignition. Do not spray on flame or ignited materials. The Cans are pressurized and should not be punctured, incinerated or exposed to severe damage. This may cause the can to burst violently.Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhalation, eye or skin contact. Keep away from children.Packing & Transport InformationTwenty four cans are packed in one corrugated carton.UN No. 1950, Class 2.1. Air- Transport (ICAO & IATA): Hazardous Pressurized ContainerSea Transport (IMO & IMDG) : UN 1950 Class 2Information on Disposal of used CansAerosol Cans are designed for single use only and are hazardous even when apparently empty. The cans must be completely evacuated by pressing the valve so that negligible gas remains inside and then must be punctured to release the remaining gas vapor. This shall render the can to be non-hazardous and fit for disposal as per local environmental norms.
