Ambient cure high viscous adhesive systemDescription Lapox Ultra is two component modified, viscous epoxy adhesive system. When both componentsare mixed in recommended ratios and cured appropriately at room temperature, an excellent bondstrength can be achieved with most of the substrates including glass, metals, laminates, wood,textile and natural stones. Faster productivity can be achieved, if curing is performed at highertemperature between 40°C and 60°C. ProcessingSurface reparation: The adherents must be thoroughly degreased with a good degreasing solvent(e.g. toluene, acetone trichloroethylene) and abraded with coarse emery paper or chemicallyetched. Inadequately pre-treated substrates may not bond satisfactorily.Application: The mixed mass is applied by brush or spatula on the surface to be adhered. The mixmust be used within its pot life.Curing: Curing normally takes place at room temperature within about 24 hours depending on theambient temperature but may be accelerated by the application of heat.PackagingLapox Ultra is available in 6.5 g, 13 g, 36 g, 90 g and 180 g tube packs as well as 450 g, 900 g and1.8 kg bottles and 9 kg, 45 kg and 90 kg HDPE carboys.Storage and handlingLapox Ultra should be stored in a cool and dry place, preferably in a sealed container and shouldnot be exposed to direct sunlight. This product has a shelf life of two years, if stored in its originalcontainer between 2°C and 40°C away from humidity and excessive heat.SafetyWear personal protective equipment (PPE). Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. In case of directcontact and irritation, it should be washed off immediately with soap and warm water. Avoidbreathing vapours, mist or gas. Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) of Lapox Ultra fordetailed safety instructions.Spills and disposalIn case of spills, sweep up and shovel the spilled material. Keep spilled material in suitable, closedcontainers for disposal. Soak up with an absorbent such as clay, sand or other suitable material.Flush area with water to remove trace residue. Do not allow the product to reach the sewagesystem. Waste must be disposed of in accordance with federal, state or local regulations, asapplicable.

The speed of cure is reduced in low humidity conditions. Low temperatures will also reduce cure speed. All figures relating to cure speed are tested at 21°CCure speed vs. bond gapFasto FLEX FAST give best results on close fitting parts. The product should be applied in a very thin line in order to ensure rapid polymerisation and a strong bond. Excessive bond gaps will result in slower cure speeds. Fasto Cyanoacrylate Activators may be used to greatly increase cure speeds Cure speed vs. SubstrateThe speed of cure of Fasto FLEX FAST varies according to the substrates to be bonded. Acidic surfaces such as paper and leather will have longer cure times than most plastics and rubbers.DIRECTIONS FOR USEBonding speed is very fast so ensure that parts are properly aligned before bonding. Ensure parts are clean, dry and free from oil and grease. Product is normally hand applied from the bottle. Apply sparingly to one surface and press parts firmly together until handling strength is achieved. As a general rule, as little Cyanoacrylate as possible should be used – over application will result in slow cure speed and lower bond strength.
