The product resists aging, weatheringand thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking orcracking. It has good adhesion to substratesaluminium, mild steel, glass, ceramics, corks and manyplastics.The product is used to seal various flanged surfaces anautomotive and general industry. Typical applicationincludes bonding of sensitive electronic components andsub assemblies, Weather sealing of most commonconstruction materials including glass, aluminpainted metal, granite and other stone, concrete, brickand plastics, ceramic tile grouting, sealing aroundshower-tub enclosures, tubs, sinks, urinals etc.

For best performancethe surface with a solvent such as isopropyl alcoholacetone or methyl ethyl ketonecloth.A surface primer is recommended for hard to bondsurfaces, such as some plastics. The paste-like consistency makes it easy to work. A spatula or wooden paddle can be used for tooling the surface. The cure progresses inward from the surface. At conditions of at least 75°F (24°C) and 50 percent relative humidity, the sealant forms a tack-free skin in25- 30 minutes. Tooling is not practical after this skin begins forming, and should be completed within 25-30 minutes of application, even though this may require alternate periods of applying and tooling. Likewise, if masking tape has been used to mark off an area, it should be removed before the tack-free skin forms.
