DESCRIPTION: NeoSeal® 518 Seal X Clear is water based; invisible, protective coating that is suitable for all forms of natural Stone, masonry and concrete surface. It protects against stains, discoloration, efflorescence and soiling. Application on marble, brick, limestone and mortar joints, it will seal and reduce staining and water absorption. It can be used internally or externally without changing the aesthetic look of the surface & can be used for protection of concrete and other mineral façade surfaces. Surface preparation: Prepare the surface thoroughly by cleaning, washing and removing dust, dirt, oil, grease and loose particles using wire brush and water jet. Break the weak portion of concrete surface near the area of repair and clean with water jet. Roughen the surface mechanically and dampen the surface with clean water. Remove corrosion deposit and clean the surface of exposed rebar. 2. Crack Filling: • Cracks of size up to 5mm should be filled by NeoSeal® 503 Crack Filler paste. • Cracks wider than 5 mm should be filled by applying NeoSeal® 501 SBR Latex or 502 Latex Prime modified mortar slurry using putty blade properly. Let it dry for 24 hrs. 3. Pre Application: New Concrete should be cured completely. Finishing must be completed and allowed to be cured. In case of rains, allow the structure to dry for at least 24 hours before NeoSeal® 518 Seal X Clear application. 4. Mixing: NeoSeal® 518 Seal X Clear are supplied ready to use. Stir thoroughly using a conventional paint stirrer prior to application. 5. Application: • Apply the sealer onto the prepared substrate by good quality long pile roller or suitable brush in dry weather. Ensure a continuous; pore free coat covers the substrate. • Apply second coat on demanding substrates after the first coat is tack free. • When applying to masonry joints, the coating must be brushed well into the joints.COVERAGE: 80 to 90 sq. ft. per Kg per coat. Actual coverage may vary as it depends upon on porosity and absorption characteristics of the substrate. Minimum 2 coats are recommended. For spray applications, Coverage shall be little higher.
