ESSRBOND GG 105 Is a Non sagging ,2component ,chemical resistanceelastomeric, Polysulphide joint sealant.ESSRBOND GG 105 is specificallydesigned to be used as a watertight seal formoderate movement and control joints. It isbased on polysulphide polymer. Aftercuring it form a tough, flexible and nonstainingrubber like seal. It has excellentadhesion to concrete, stone, metal andresistant to many chemicals, shrinkage,aging, Thermal stress and the effects ofoutdoor exposure. ESSRBOND GG 105 issuitable for use in both vertical andhorizontal applications.

The joint edges must be clean, dry andfree from oil, loose particles, cement andother contaminants which may affect theadhesion.
Primer shall be applied to a clean and drysurface prior to the installation of backerrod or bond breaking tape. applyESSRBOND PP 110 porous primer onsurface. The Primer shall be applied by abrush in a thin coat. For obtaining a cleanand neat finish, masking tape shall beapplied on both the edges of the jointsbefore applying the primer.
The backer rod provides resistance tosealant tooling pressure and help to attainproper wetting of substrate when thesealant is being tooled. The diameter ofthe backing rod shall be at least 20% largerbut not greater than 33% of the joint width.CAUTION: Do not damage or poke holesin the backer rod during of afterinstallation, since this may cause airbubbles in the sealant and effect itsperformance.
The width of the joint should be a minimumof 4 times the anticipated movement.Joints with cyclic movement should have awide to depth ratio of 2:1 for butt joints and1:1 for floor, static and lap joints.
