A strong, solvent-free adhesive suitable for all materials, ideal for durable bonding and repairs. Perfect for complicated jobs which require adjustment thanks to a long working time.
Important
Bonds metal, wood, masonry, ceramics, glass, dry concrete, chipboard, leather, cardboard, fabric, rubber and most plastics (except polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon®).
Make sure surfaces are clean and free from dust, corrosion, dirt and grease. For optimum bonding, slightly roughen surfaces with sandpaper and degrease metals with a suitable solvent. During assembly apply light pressure to the joint until set (clamps, tape) around 8 hours. Allow 14 hours to attain full strength before rough handling or sanding.
How to apply
Araldite® Standard is a strong 2-component epoxy with long working time. Parts repositionable for 80 minutes. Oil, chemical and impact resistant. High temperature resistance (-30°C to 65°C). Withstands rough handling. Do not use to repair or bond items that will contact food or drink. Not recommended for bonding rear-view mirrors to car windscreens.

Should be stored in a dry place at room temperature in the original tubes.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:1. Substrate Preparation : The strength and durability of bonded joint are dependent on proper pre-treatment of substrates to be bonded. At the very least surfaces to be joined should be cleaned with a good degreasing agent such as Acetone or Trichloroethylene in order to remove all traces of oil, grease, rust, dust, etc. from the surface. The best and most durable joints are obtained by either mechanical abrading (Sand Blasting) or by chemical etching (pickling) the degreased surfaces. Mechanical abrading shall be followed by a second degreasing treatment.2. Mixing of RESIN and HARDENER : Epoxy resin should be thoroughly mixed with Hardener .MIX RATIOPARTS BY WEIGHTPARTS BY VOLUMERESIN100100HARDENER80100Resin and Hardener are to be mixed until they form a homogeneous mix. It is very important that the above proportions are adhered as accurately as possible to achieve optimum results. Do not mix on high-speed mixer, which will result in sudden increase in temperature, which shall adversely affect the pot-life of the mix. Mix, at a time, small quantity so that it can be consumed in stipulated usable life. 50 gms of mixture of BLUEFIX ACE has a usable life of about 60 minutes at 30°C of room temperature.Note: Specialized Automatic Metering & Mix equipment are available in the market. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:1. Substrate Preparation : The strength and durability of bonded joint are dependent on proper pre-treatment of substrates to be bonded. At the very least surfaces to be joined should be cleaned with a good degreasing agent such as Acetone or Trichloroethylene in order to remove all traces of oil, grease, rust, dust, etc. from the surface. The best and most durable joints are obtained by either mechanical abrading (Sand Blasting) or by chemical etching (pickling) the degreased surfaces. Mechanical abrading shall be followed by a second degreasing treatment.2. Mixing of RESIN and HARDENER : Epoxy resin should be thoroughly mixed with Hardener .MIX RATIOPARTS BY WEIGHTPARTS BY VOLUMERESIN100100HARDENER80100Resin and Hardener are to be mixed until they form a homogeneous mix. It is very important that the above proportions are adhered as accurately as possible to achieve optimum results. Do not mix on high-speed mixer, which will result in sudden increase in temperature, which shall adversely affect the pot-life of the mix. Mix, at a time, small quantity so that it can be consumed in stipulated usable life. 50 gms of mixture of BLUEFIX ACE has a usable life of about 60 minutes at 30°C of room temperature.Note: Specialized Automatic Metering & Mix equipment are available in the market. These equipment help to improve the productivity and reliability.

After use and before adhesive hardens, mixing and application equipment should be cleaned with hot soapy water or solvent. Substrate must be thoroughly degreased with a good degreasing solvent (e.g. toluene, acetone trichloroethylene) and abraded with coarse emery paper, wire brush or chemically etched. Inadequately pre-treated substrates may not bond satisfactorily. Application: Weigh or measure out the desired amount of resin and hardener in the prescribed ratio and mix thoroughly. Mix until homogeneous and uniform color is obtained. Apply the adhesive after mixing by spatula on the surface to be adhered. For maximum bond strength apply adhesive evenly to both surfaces. After mixed adhesive has been applied on substrates or parts, it should be assembled immediately. Avoid movement of assembled parts during curing. Excess uncured adhesives can be cleaned or wiped with solvent or thinner. The mix mass must be used within its pot life. After use and before adhesive hardens, mixing and application equipment should be cleaned with hot soapy water or solvent. Curing: Curing normally takes place at room temperature within about 24 hours depending on the ambient temperature but may be accelerated by the application of heat. The joined substrate should be allowed to develop full strength before subjecting to any service loads. Packaging Lapox Indibond is available in 1.8 kg HDPE bottles . Storage and handling Lapox Indibond should be stored in a cool and dry place, preferably in a sealed container and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. This product has a shelf life of one year, if stored in its original container between 2°C and 40°C away from humidity and excessive heat.
